I’ll be setting off on the morning of Sunday 13 November from Murrayfield and aiming to finish at Old Trafford for the half time whistle at the Rugby League World Cup men’s final on Saturday 19 November. We know times are really, really tough for people at the moment with cost-of-living so seeing people putting donations in the collection buckets is unbelievable. With friends, family, the MND community, and BBC Breakfast following his every step, Kevin set goals, targets, and standards for what he expected from those around him and smashed them all. The team sits down with Kevin ahead of his busy schedule, for an exclusive first interview on what his future looks like and if he will continue his fund raising efforts for MND. As the charity of Leeds Teaching Hospitals, we provide support for eight areas which include Leeds General Infirmary, Leeds Children’s Hospital, Leeds Cancer Centre, St James’s University Hospital, Chapel Allerton Hospital, Seacroft Hospital, Wharfdale Hospital and Leeds Dental Institute. I felt the flow of the book ebbed away towards the end - which is in no way a reflection of the man himself, just the way this was written and presented. Kevin is going from strength to strength, this is just the start I’m sure there will be a follow up at some point.The book equips readers with the tools and the mindset to embrace togetherness and to overcome their own challenges. There's physical parts of it that are going to hurt and be horrible, but I think mentally every hour some of it is going to be torturous.To be honest before setting out on this challenge I wasn’t 100% sure we would complete it but your unwavering support has got us through.
