have just manage to read via obd with multiboot function a Bosch ME7.9.10 from Fiat Punto T-JET 1.4 turbo… This tool is the only one that can read from obd this ecu ….. I personal encourage you to have "ori" tool, of course the budget is high for this issue and with other hand you will have "official" support, regular updates etc. Answer 2: Some bloger have reported issues with reading Chrysler Jeep Cherokee 2.8L 3.0L EDC16CP31 models. We don’t recommend using MPPS V16 for these models at this time I have used a MPPS v16 clone from china. Been using it on and off for the last year with no problems what so ever. MPPS v18 is good for VAG cars and Fiat 1.3 ddis engines. I haven’t seen EDC17CP64 or EDC17C59 in the supported list, but EDC17CP04, EDC17CP14 and EDC17C46 are included.

My MPPS clone arrived yesterday. It works good on Windows 8 and Windows 10 both x64, software will only start when cable gets power from car. Be sure to run as administrator using windows 7. As for XP, works Perfect win 7etc, just buy a cheap win 7. or 8 notebook “overspeed” , not worth it, say you did find a way on xp, is it worth risk writing ecu, risk enough we guinea pig clones as it is, lets just not reinvent the wheel, if its meant for win 7, etc, im happy to comply. have to admit quite like XP so had to invest in a cheap laptop for this mpps 18 testing, But edc17cp20, edc17cp44, etc, etc same year, have tricore protected active, and if you write in obd, ecu bloqued.in sum, MPPS cable is good at M3.8, M5.9, ME7xx, MED9, MED17, EDC15/16/17, Delphi, Siemens, Marelli, Delco, Sagem, Trionic, etc… working on controllers with the tricore processor and Marelli ECU. Because there are two versions of Mpps china clone. One comes with missing components and different resistors are installed with red marks below. Excellent recovery functions. In some cases, MPPS can recover ECUs, while other tools cannot even communicate with it.
