The neutralized form of gluconic acid. It's a great ingredient to neutralize metal (especially iron and copper) ions in a cosmetic product. This helpsto prevent discoloration of the formula over time or rancidity of cosmetic oils. The name says it all. This is a moisturizer with some color on it, to give your skin a “healthier” look. A perfect alternative for those days that you need to look polished, but don’t feel like using any makeup. An easy-to-formulate, commonly used, nice to have ingredient that’s also called pro-vitamin B5. As you might guess from the “pro” part, it’s a precursor to vitamin B5 (whose fancy name is pantothenic acid). Exactly what it sounds: nice smelling stuff put into cosmetic products so that the end product also smells nice. Fragrance in the US and parfum in the EU is a generic term on the ingredient list that is made up of 30 to 50 chemicals on average (but it can have as much as 200 components!). In my case, the first time I sprayed it, the product came out more like a spit than a pleasant mist. But it only happened once. All the other times it worked perfectly.

I always try out the new primers that Essence brings out as I have had quite some success with these in the past. They are nicely hydrating and they usually get the job done. I am not too demanding when it comes to primers as I don’t feel they do too much for your skin. In fact, I by now think I am more attached to the routine of applying primer than that I feel it actually does anything for my skin or wear time of my makeup. However, I like to try these out and see for myself, so let’s go. Review: Essence Hello Good Stuff Primer Serum Hydrate & Plump with Blueberry & Squalane A multi-functional, silky feeling helper ingredient that can do quite many things. It's used as an emulsion stabilizer, solvent, and a broad spectrum antimicrobial. Its main job in skincare products is to moisturise the skin. It’s a humectant meaning that it can help the skin to attract water and then hold onto it. There is also research showing that panthenol can help our skin to produce more lovely lipids that are important for a strong and healthy skin barrier. Effective from as low as 3% with even more benefits for dry skin at higher concentrations up to 20-40% If that wasn’t enough panthenol is also useful in nail and hair care products. A study shows that a nail treatment liquide with 2% panthenol could effectively get into the nail and significantly increase the hydration of it.If you are someone who likes to know what you put on your face then fragrance is not your best friend - there's no way to know what’s really in it. Essence Hello Good Stuff Tinted Beauty Cream (30ml) moisturises and pampers skin with an added, irresistible touch of colour. The range of Hello Good Stuff products is formulated with natural ingredients renowned for their skin-caring properties and contains no harmful chemicals.

When it comes to facial hydrators, there’s a superfood ingredient you should look for on your skin care label: blueberry extract. Blueberries are a powerhouse antioxidant that help neutralize free radicals (the stuff that makes our skin show signs of age). And that’s not all. Blueberries also boast other powerful antioxidants like vitamin C and anthocyanins, which is also what give them their blue pigment, BTW. Both help pump the breaks on collagen loss, which gives our skin its youthful, plump texture. Not only a simple moisturizer but knows much more: keeps the skin lipids between our skin cells in a healthy (liquid crystal) state, protects against irritation, helps to restore barrier The neutralized form of gluconic acid. It's a great ingredient to neutralize metal (especially iron and copper) ions in a cosmetic product. This helpsto prevent discoloration of the formula over time or rancidity of cosmetic oils. It can also be a pH regulator and a humectant (helps skin to cling onto water). After applying this tinted beauty cream, you can feel that your face is hydrated healthily. It doesn’t feel oily or heavy at all. So I dare say that this tinted cream is suitable for pretty much every skin type. Pro-Vitamin B5 is a goodie that moisturises the skin, has anti-inflammatory, skin protecting and wound healing properties.I am always a bit skeptical when the same product has more than one function. But I have to say that Essence HELLO, GOOD STUFF! 3in1 Face Mist was a positive surprise. It's the salt form of famous humectant and natural moisturizing factor, hyaluronic acid. It can bind huge amounts of water and it's pretty much the current IT-moisturizer. Essence HELLO, GOOD STUFF! Matte & Glow Bronzer is split into two parts: matte (darker) and glow (lighter). Which might be a bit confusing when you apply it for the first time. Especially because the glow formula isn’t glowy at all and the matte one happens to be matte. So I’ve decided to mix both. From forehead to chin.

The serum formula contains 98% natural ingredients and is delicately scented with Pineapple, giving the face cream a slight yellow colour that leaves behind a subtle scent of refreshing tropical fruit. Free from gluten, parabens, perfumes, and preservatives. Cruelty-free & vegan-friendly. Good old water, aka H2O. The most common skincare ingredient of all. You can usually find it right in the very first spot of the ingredient list, meaning it’s the biggest thing out of all the stuff that makes up the product. You can easily apply it with your fingertips, just as if you were applying face cream. Just make sure that you spread it thoroughly, so you don’t end up with one area more tinted than the other. This one became my favorite mascara from the very first day I tried it. Essence HELLO, GOOD STUFF! Volume Mascara is easy to apply and so comfortable on your lashes if you’re using it for hours on end.So citric acid is an exfoliant, that can - just like other AHAs - gently lift off the dead skin cells of your skin and make it more smooth and fresh. What surprised me the most is how well it performs, especially when compared with some high-end mascaras I tried this year. And yes, not looking like a raccoon after a few hours means a lot to me (especially when I am out and about running important errands). A helper ingredient that helps to makethe products stay nice longer, aka preservative. It works mainly against fungi.
