Description

The poems are relatable but I don't feel as if relatability is strong enough. The poems are about the mediocre but instead of being a statement, it feels surface level - even if the poetry is about darker issues. I'm missing the emotional connection, reflection and exploration that I like in poetry. Although phonic readers are recommended as early reading books, it is also important that children have access to a wide range of texts that they can share and enjoy with adults to develop a true love of reading. This book was breath-taking, written in a way that left the reader not knowing whether to laugh or cry. Why should my child read decodable books?

Children are more likely to experience success which will build their confidence, motivation and enthusiasm for reading. Parallel sets of books introduce the sounds of the alphabet, adjacent consonants and consonant digraphs, and vowel digraphs. During his travels with Geralt, Dandelion started to write his memoirs, entitled " Half a Century of Poetry"; twice, in fact. His first attempt was lost in the bottom of the duchess of Toussaint's closet after the poet was banished from her duchy. But rather than bemoaning that loss, the poet decided to rewrite his memoirs from scratch. His poems were later bound in two collections: The Adversities of Loving and Time of the Moon.
