Al and Bridge are what I dreamed one day I would have. But never happened. Al kept herself as a bookish girl, I was the tomboy. eps seem too short for the first time! "Our Secret" is a drama with a good plot, lovable characters and excellent acting. the actors in this drama aren't that famous (edit: this was before hidden love) but their acting is really good; definitely how a high schooler would behave, in my opinion. it's fast paced with little or no filler scenes so overall it was a good watch. it felt so nostalgic (even tho I haven't finished my high school yet).

Another Couple Who Needs More Storythe ML was portrayed splendid, props to the actor. he wasn't oblivious but seemed to get along with people around him quite well unlike other leads who act like they are allergic to humans or whatever. no super rich high school 'chaebol' heir so it makes the viewers easy to empathize. the way he looks at the FL melts me uwu. he really set the bar high for a "boy in love". Although they start dating at a late stage, their growing feelings for each other is already obvious by Episode 11. It is just that those feelings are left unspoken as they were still high school students then. Is There A Breakup?

And Ding Xian also taught him that it’s okay not to be perfect all the time. Zhou Si Yue didn’t realize that he was burdened by the word perfection. Everybody saw him as the epitome of perfection and he was also afraid that Ding Xian only liked him because of his perfection. Only when he was facing difficulties, Zhao Si Yue was anxious that he couldn’t protect Ding Xian as he wanted to do. Ding Xian also joined the same research project group, just to be near him. She forced herself to be with him, and she lost herself along the way. Zhou Si Yue noticed that. Hence, he tried to make her understand by rejecting her over and over again, even making it difficult for her during the research project. But he failed…😅I really like this drama. Our Secret was heartwarming and reminded me of my high school years. It was the best time of my life, as well as the most confusing time. Rainbow Xu is not an experienced actress but she is still able to make Ding Xian looks timid and introverted as required. She captures the essence of the character with the way she speaks and her mannerisms. Thus, both of them provide viewers with very realistic characters with the way they depict their roles. Their chemistry as a high school couple is evident in the drama. There is no skinship given that they are students then but their interactions are sweet and cute to give off a feeling of an innocent romance. Well-Written Characters By the time they reached senior high school, they already have unspoken feelings for each other. They have also made a pact to enter a prestigious university together. However, Ding Xian couldn’t get enough marks to get into the same university as Si Yue. She opts to repeat another year at high school which means separation for both of them. She makes it the following year but Si Yue seems no longer interested in her. Our Secret Ending (Spoilers Alert!) I think it is clear that Our Secret will easily resonate with the younger viewers especially those who are still studying or have just left school. This is simply because the story is very typical of what a teenager would face in real life. However, for the older viewers, this might be a tad draggy. Their high school life spans 15 episodes which means if you don’t enjoy high school romances, this would not be as engaging. It is different from Forever Love which has a much shorter school life arc and a more matured couple.
Though Si Yue is portrayed as the school genius and basically this popular guy who is good in everything he does (typical school romance plot right?), but the way the character is acted out is not unrealistic at all. He is not the typical cold blooded, cool guy who is unapproachable. Yet, they do not end up being annoying. Instead, they easily entice viewers to root for them. There is also room for growth as they mature to become adults. In short, the main characters are not one-dimensional but have depth to their personalities. My Verdict – Engaging For The Young the side characters weren't annoying. they had their own story to tell, making us cheer for them even with the little screen time they had. I loved the friendship among all of them.

At first, he helped her because Ding Xian’s parents asked him to take care of her at school. But later, Zhou Si Yue was dazzled by her determination and cuteness. He keeps his feelings inside because they need to be focused on their college entrance exams. There are no cheesy cliches like those found in My Unicorn Girl. Neither does it weigh you down with plenty of melodrama like in Go Ahead. There are sad moments but nothing so dramatic that an ordinary high school student is unable to overcome. The couple is cute and this is what most viewers would be looking for in a youth drama like this one. Simple But Realistic Plot Zhou Si Yue also kept many things from Ding Xian because he was afraid Ding Xian would be worried about him. Ding Xian also told him to pursue his dream and seize the opportunity to go abroad. She wasn’t afraid of being left alone again. Su Bo Cong, the Lonely Guy Our Secret drama review – Ding Xian and Su Bo Cong Ding Xian (portrayed by Xu Meng Jie) is a timid but hardworking girl. She used to live in a small village. To prepare for her college entrance exams, she and her family moved to a big city and live in the same apartment complex as Zhou Si Yue’s family. Meeting for the first time in high school, the two did not get along, but as time went on, the bond between the two grew stronger, and gradually, a mutual feeling was developed between the two. Ding Xian’s intelligence seemed to be average, but she was diligent and willing to spend her time reviewing her lessons. That’s why she got a good grades in junior high school. Ding Xian’s life only revolves around her family and school. There were no junior high school friends mentioned, except for her senior or childhood friend or neighbor, Su Bo Cong. In the last episode, Senior Su tells Si Yue that he will be going abroad and may not make it to their wedding. He also tells Si Yue to treat Ding Xian well. The Side Couples Besides the storyline, there was a thing that I liked about Our Secret. The chemistry between our main leads and the supporting actors was good. I like to see the interaction between Zhou Si Yue and Song Zi Qi. They were so natural. Moreover, I found that Chen Zhe Yuan and Xu Meng Jie’s acting and chemistry were also good. I adored them when they were in high school. They were soooo sweet…😍
