But our bedrooms are our sanctuaries and our calming spaces. They need to be lovely and beautiful so that we can sleep easier, and enjoy just hanging out in them! Vikhammer is a center of tourism each summer, with many German and Swedish camping tourists who camp at Vikhammer Camping. Tourists come to see the fjords for which Norway is famous. Locally, the salmon fishing is also a popular tourist activity. The European route E6 highway runs just south of the village. The Vikhammer Station on the Nordland Line is located in the village. Malvik Church is located just east of the village. So obviously with a new bed frame I looked forward to (finally!) having matching nightstands. We’ve been using a couple hand-me-down mismatched nightstands since we got married more than a decade ago. Neither was much our style, but they were free and in good condition.

A nightstand should look great beside your bed, so browse the IKEA selection for one that would look right at home in your own bedroom. Using clamps, position and then secure the edge glued board to the top of the nightstand and allow to dry for 24-48 hours. Be sure not to over-tighten the clamps or you’ll risk damaging the wood. Just to be safe, we recommend placing a cloth over the edge-glued board, followed by a scrap piece of wood and then applying the clamps. The addition of a mirror on the wall, or on the top of the Ekby unit itself will add the finishing touches to your vanity table! Once dry, lightly sand the top of the nightstands. You want to scuff up the surface just a little before spreading Liquid Nails or a similar construction adhesive onto the top of the nightstand. This helps improve the bonding ability of the adhesive.
