Gameplay times reflected what was intended, a 40-60 minute game. Conversely, Perfectly Wretched had us playing for over 180 minutes in one game, which felt like a tough slog by the end. The Evil Comes Prepared expansion adds some interesting dynamics. That initial title was developed by Prospero Hall ( now part of Funko Games) and included Maleficent ( Sleeping Beauty), Ursula ( The Little Mermaid), Jafar ( Aladdin), Prince John ( Robin Hood), Queen of Hearts ( Alice in Wonderland), and Captain Hook ( Peter Pan). There was something for every kind of classic Disney animation fan — including compelling, card-based gameplay and a hefty dose of screw-your-neighbor-style competition. The Villainous series is now developed in-house and published internationally by Ravensburger. The result is a challenging new puzzle for veterans to figure out, and its characters feel genuinely different to everything else Villainous has tried until now.

This game definitely requires more strategy and damage control than the base-game, plus I’d recommend setting aside a decent amount of time (a single two player game took us three hours, which for me is a little long for Disney Villainous).
