About this deal

King Charles’ Coronation Ceremony will take place on 6th May 2023 in London. It’s thought it will begin in the morning, around the same time as his mother’s, Queen Elizabeth, was at 11:15am.

For instance, children can use it in their collages, or you can use it in a class display of their craftastic endeavours of King Charles’ profile, the Coronation Crown or a Coronation flag. All three would look terrific on display and kept as Coronation memorabilia. Elizabeth was the longest ‘reigning’ British monarch. I am not exactly sure what she ruled over as she made no laws. Elizabeth became queen when she was in her 20s, I guess God was like “you know what England needs? A 20 year old kid in charge, this is my will.” Elizabeth became Queen really young because her dad died young. Apparently, Elizabeth’s dad didn’t want to be King and he wasn’t the Lord’s first choice. Her dad was the spare, the 2nd born son. The first born son decided that fake reigning a country wasn’t quite as cool as marrying the love of his life so he married who he wanted and left the pomp and circumstance nonsense to his little brother. His little brother had two daughters and Elizabeth was first in line. Perfect for use at school, nursery, an after school club or community group, practically wherever there are a bunch of children, this God Save The King Collaborative Colouring Activity will keep them all occupied. With 24 individual pictures, children get to work on one section each. When they’re done, put all the pictures together to create a single collaborative piece of artwork. This will look fantastic on any wall, just make sure you’ve got enough colouring pens, pencils and crayons! This King Charles III PowerPoint for KS1 is a great way for you to introduce your children to the new King. The presentation takes you through topics such as his life and education, his family, and more. It also explains the role of a monarch and what King Charles III will be expected to do.Bunting and placemats to colour and/or print and laminate ready for a Coronation Big Lunch or coronation party Imagine you are in London for the coronation. Princess Diana was Prince Charles’ first wife. She was 19 and he was well into his thirties. They had a very short courtship and he continued his relationship with Camilla the entire time and even wore a gift from Camilla on his honeymoon with Diana. Diana often upstaged the Royal family by being more beautiful and by truly caring about charity work with seems to appeal to people. Princess Diana divorced Princes Charles. Princess Diana did not hide in shame after her divorce, but famously wore this insanely gorgeous dress the day her divorce to the Prince was final. Princess Diana had two sons with Prince Charles during their marriage. It was clear to everyone that her children were her entire life. Her son’s beautiful faces are attributed to Diana, as her husband was and continues to be comically unattractive. Princess Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris while being hounded by Paparazzi. The general belief is that Diana would have made a lovely Queen. Help children to find a moment of quiet with this beautifully designed King Charles III Coronation 6th May 2023 Colouring Activity Poster while celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III on 6th May 2023.

Camilla is the Queen Consort. She is the 2nd wife of King Charles. She had a long standing relationship with Charles before, during, and after his marriage to Princess Diana and her marriage to someone with the last name Bowles. I didn’t look it up. Nobody really likes her except Charles. Her stepsons begged their dad to not marry her, but he didn’t listen and now she gets to be Queen Consort. Apparently after the coronation, she will be Queen, no longer “Queen Consort”. I’m gonna tell my grandkids her name was Jolene.Everyone can join in and because there’s no right or wrong answer, it’s a great way to get your whole class involved. After, hand out this Coronation flag for them to colour in and watch the creative magic unfold. Other King Charles III Coronation Activities Other Twinkl resources that will support you include our videos, like this one, Ten Art Activities to Learn about Artists, which is a great way for children to learn about different artists. And don’t forget our blog, which is full of helpful information, like What is the Twinkl Book Club? which lets you know all about the regular books that will be delivered free to your home or school upon you joining. Alternatively, if children want to colour in something they can keep, this King Charles III Royal Cypher Colouring Activity Poster is a good choice. Children can learn about what a cypher is before they get to colour it in, perhaps even writing a bit about it beforehand. This would be good to include as part of an afternoon lesson, as they can unwind with colouring in something they understand the significance of. It’s also an ideal activity to do at home with a loved one during the afternoon.
