Description

(Quanto ho riso).

So much happens and there are very few instances where you are ever bored or waiting for the next thing to happen. I think my favorite part about this book was trying to figure stuff out with Jude. Unlike other books, the heroine is very competent and sometimes realizes things before us as the readers do. I am never frustrated with the fact that she is so dumb she hasn’t realized something yet, and always presently surprised with all the twists and turns this story has to offer. This is the perfect collector’s items for fans of Elfhame with each chapter being paired with full-color art. It turned out that Cardan didn’t have a heart of stone after all. As he removed his shirt and sank to his knees, as he fisted his hands and tried not to cry out when the strap fell, he burned with hatred. Hatred for Dain; for his father; for all the siblings who didn’t take him in and the one who did; for his mother, who spat at his feet as she was led away; for stupid, disgusting mortals; for all of Elfhame and everyone in it. Hate that was so bright and hot that it was the first thing that truly warmed him. Hate that felt so good that he welcomed being consumed by it. Jude brings Cardan to her rooms, the only place she is confident he will be safe. He asks her to kiss him. She hates that she wants to. Jude goes to the council meeting in Cardan's place. She tries to convince the council that Orlagh is planning to move against their kingdom. Madoc pulls Jude aside after the meeting and says he still cares about her despite the fact that she poisoned him.

i personaggi: Jude e Cardan, due anime dannate che piano piano riescondo a far diventare marmo il loro cuore di pietra; The Folk of the Air series has been reprinted into special editions by multiple companies including, illumicate, Fairyloot, and Barnes and Noble. In 2022 Litjoy also announced the complete special editions of The Folk of Air series. But for real, I loved this so much. The art was gorgeous, and this one piece actually made my heart skip a beat, it was phenomenal. I remember when I read this that I tried to stretch it out but I finished it in one day, and it was actually on Christmas.

The coronation takes place, but before Dain gets crowned, it is sabotaged by Prince Balekin and Madoc, who kills him. Balekin can only be crowned by a member of the royal family, but in the ensuing scuffle, multiple members of the family get killed, leaving only Cardan of the Greenbriar line. Cardan hides, is found by Jude and both of them evacuate the halls. Jude later places Cardan in the arrest of the Court of Shadows for 24 hours, and they both have an intimate conversation where they reveal their mutual desire for each other. Cardan Greenbriar: High King of Elfhame; Asha and Eldred's son; Balekin, Kaeliq, Elowyn, Dain, Rhyia and Caelia's half-brother; Jude's husbandyep, that's my review of this awesome series, I honestly have a LOT to say but.. anyways if you haven't read it yet, what are you doing here?! GO and read it. This new instalment in the Folk of the Airseries is a return to the heart-racing romance, danger, humour and drama that enchanted readers everywhere. Each chapter is paired with lavish and luminous full-colour art, making this the perfect collector’s item to be enjoyed by audiences both new and old. Jude Duarte, her twin sister Taryn Duarte and her half-sister Vivienne live in the human world until a fae called Madoc, who is Vivienne's biological father, arrives one day and kills their parents. The trio are then forced to live in Faerie for a decade with Madoc's wife Oriana and son Oak. I'd like to take a moment to thank this book: You have raised my expectations for love so high (I now want to be transported to a Fae realm and get thrown into a river by a hot and mysterious Fae prince who hates that he loves me.) and you have taught me so much about myself (why do I like his tail) and life.

Okay, and the illustrations that were included. They were absolutely beautiful and complimented the book perfectly. Oh, and the very last story. Of course.

Jude and Cardan meet with Nicasia. Cardan tells Nicasia to tell her mother that the next time she threatens him, her daughter will become his prisoner. He asks her whether she would want to be bound to him forever in an unhappy union, and Nicasia says there is more to ruling than happiness, and she thinks her mother's idea is a good one. Rhiya Greenbriar; Daughter of Eldred; Sister to Balekin, Dain, Elowyn, Caelia and half-sister to Cardan; Good friend of Vivi; Killed herself In this story, Cardan’s life is very much impacted by a troll named Aslong who was wronged by Cardan’s father. She tells a story about a boy with a heart of stone, who finds himself in a predicament with a monster girl who won’t scare him away, until his heart starts beating again. And then all throughout his life, she tells his alternate versions of this same story, each version with a new meaning for a new version of Cardan himself. This book has a lot of fantasy politics, creatures, mythology, etc., as well as some romance—enemies-to-lovers romance. And it's amazing. Published one year after the final installment of the trilogy, The Queen of Nothing, many in bookish circles on social media were dismissive of this slim collection of short stories from the perspective of the enigmatic character of Cardan.

Caelia Greenbriar: Daughter of Eldred; Sister to Balekin, Dain, Elowyn, Rhiya and half-sister to Cardan; Killed by the Ghost Consider this my reassurance to you that I'm well and perfectly sane, thank you very much. In fact, I prefer it this way.) Van, "The Roach": Member of the Court of Shadows; Dain's former spy and theft expert; Liliver's loverJude è la protagonista e la storia viene raccontata dal suo punto di vista assoluto, perciò tutto ciò che vive e subisce, le persone, le comprendiamo dal suo punto di vista, anche se ad un certo punto riusciamo a farci un'idea personale man mano che tutto accade.
