About this deal

Only by courageously facing the stark revelations can Sky and Holder hope to heal their emotional scars and find a way to live and love without boundaries. Losing Hope (2013)

The personalities of these two characters and the thoughts they possess are so vastly different; hearing them tell accounts of the same events is gripping. At age twenty-one, Auburn Reed has already lost everything important to her. In her fight to rebuild her shattered life, she has her goals in sight and there is no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry. So much of Losing Hope is new. It's not just an alternate perspective, it's actually a whole different part of the story entirely. But if you piece it together with Hopeless, you just get EVERYTHING. I couldn’t get enough of Holder’s mind and if I had one complaint, and it’s just one, I wish a longer epilogue. (Both in time and in length.) The most riveting rule for their tryst? That they pretended, for that entire hour, that they were madly in love. Daniel moves on but is unable to shake the thoughts of his mystery woman and how perfect their encounter was.

It's been a long time since I've read Hopeless and I have actually forgotten how swoony Holder can be. I swear, if you loved him in Hopeless, you will fall in love with him more in this book, if that's even possible. And you get to see his tortured and wounded side, which was just totally heartbreaking. This is basically the same story as Hopeless just from the male character's POV. Because of that, I'm linking my review here: If you had read my review for Hopeless http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... then you’ll get my comparison of the story to a puzzle that came without a box. I thought that it was “complete” by the end of the book but I was wrong.

All those nights you held me and just let me cry . . . you have no idea how many times you’ve already saved me.” I LOVED HOLDER from Hopeless, but by GOD having Holder’s POV is like drinking a glass of wine… no matter how much you consume… you just want more and get drunk on it Their relationship was even more beautiful reading it from Holder’s POV. With everything they have been through, they deserved each other. My favorite part was Holder's letters he wrote, they were an easy way to show what he was thinking without it being entirely inner monologue. I also got to see Hope/Sky through new eyes and view Holder's struggles with his decisions.I squeeze my eyes shut and bury my head into the bed, grabbing fistfuls of the blanket. My shoulders begin to shake as the sobs I’ve been trying to contain violently break out of me. With one swift movement, I stand up, scream, and rip the blanket off the bed, throwing it across the room. While so much of this book is just completely new, even the scenes that are the same as in Hopeless feel SO special when you read them because a) they are just awesome scenes to relive period, and b) the slightly different angle on them gives them just enough of a twist to make you fall in love with them all over again. How he falls in love with Sky, for the girl she is now, and not because she’s Hope, the girl he searches since he was a kid. Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to lovewith that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.

It’s causing my hands to shake and my heart to pound and my chest to ache because all I want to do is wrap my arms around her and hold her and thank God we finally found each other again.” This Colleen Hoover series follows the story of Layken and Will, two young adults who face personal tragedies and challenges as they navigate the complexities of love and family.Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. How can she not remember? How anyone not remember being stolen from her own home? From her best friend? Haunted by the little girl he couldn’t save from imminent danger, Holder’s life has been overshadowed by feelings of guilt and remorse. He has never stopped searching for her, believing that finding her would bring him the peace he needs to move on. However, Holder could not have anticipated that he would be faced with even greater pain the moment they reconnected. The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.
