Peanuts ruled in my family, so much so that when my brother went away to boarding school, my mother would snip the daily comic from the paper and send it to him, because, you know, Boston (where he was) probably didn’t have Peanuts in their paper, but our town did.

Gen Z is officially Snoopy-obsessed, relating to his imaginative escapism, his exasperation with daily tasks, and his sly, silly wit in memes, TikToks, and sold-out Snoopy merch.But for a moment, the reader is asked to think about what makes them happy, and that's a pretty cool thing. Much of the 1950s and 1960s sensibility of Schulz's daily comic strip is distilled down into single-panel homilies that capture the essence of the basic message he was trying to impart. Sadly, Mr Schulz felt little of that happiness he brought to others, and according to a Charles Schulz bio, died on one "dark and stormy night" with his last words as follows: "I should've let Charlie kick that football.

The book is very good with light edge wear and previous owner's name on the ffep in a fair dust jacket with edge wear, rubbing, chipped at spine ends, half inch closed tear at upper back edge, front flap creased, two inch closed tear at front flap fold and four inch closed tear to rear flap fold. Dust jacket is Very Good with vertical lines of wear running parallel to the spine on the front and back covers. One side of this charming mug shows Charlie Brown giving Snoopy a massive hug, the other reads "Happiness is a warm puppy" - we couldn't agree more! In a Very Good + dust jacket (the pink one) w/light rubbing to the front and rear panels, tiny chip to front panel bottom edge, two tiny closed tears to top edge, short closed tear to front panel bottom edge. In a Very Good - dust jacket (the golden one) w/light rubbing to the front and rear panels, tiny chip to front panel top edge, two tiny closed tears to top edge, one other to the rear panel bottom edge.Cover has light creases and front page was crinkled at some stage, but still a nice firm, straight book.

What I did like was the last page that gave the reader chance to make his or her own entry as it began 'My happiness is .What I love most about the book is that it teaches children that happiness means different things to different people.
