Ours was on 'off' and we have never had the charger switch off when the temp down there got hot because of the fridge working hard. I survived on ciders and the food and drinks available to purchase at the pub and the barn where they had weekend entertainments.

As I am a lighting/production electrician we refer to these as 16amp C-form connectors and they are widely used in the entertainment industry. Arguably, getting something for totally free will get a true MoneySaver's heart pumping faster than any cardio workout ever could. I'm now on my second New California- I P/E the first after less than 3 years ownership from new and it needed yet another roof repair.cable what I’m concerned about is that this is for my daughter in her tent is this a safe thing to do or should I replace the cable to 2. Some smaller / municipal sites may still use an older system, in which case you will also need an adapter, such as this. You simply need to purchase a safe, robust electric hook up cable (our picks are below) plug it into the point and run the cable into your tent. Modern ’vans have several mains sockets in them, which makes it easier than ever to build up more of an electrical demand than the hook-up can supply. On most campsites, the electrical supply’s MCB will be rated to the maximum current (in amps) that the feed can supply.

If none of these cause problems, the fault must lie with any appliances that were plugged in at the time of the electrical trip, so avoid using them until they have been professionally checked. The best way to avoid a problem is to plan ahead and familiarise yourself with the electrical needs of all the appliances you may use in your motorhome. was fine on a site next to a cider pub in October 2021 as part of a VW meet up for a couple of nights, and I did not need to use the air con being cold enough.

Connect your tent to the campsite's electrical hook up point safely and conveniently with this 3-socket mains converter kit. When we went away at the weekend and tried to connect to the electric hookup on site, it didn't work. ALWAYS unplug devices before working on them (even changing a light bulb) when abroad if fitted with a UK 13A plug!

Safer than just a bog-standard extension lead with a 16A plug on the end and it even has a couple of USB sockets built in for phone charging. I had stressed the importance not to assume the minimum EHU supply is 10A as there are still some sites with only 6A about. also what I’m asking is that I have a splitter cable with the hook up plugs which plugs in to the van first then campsite power plugs into one of the plugs leaving a spare so you can run a suncamp rcd to a tent but I think the suncamp rcd with lead is only 1. The circuit breaker and RCD protects you and your equipment, while the 15m cable with 240v site mains plug makes it easy to connect directly to your site post. com founder Martin Lewis has warned that this is one of the biggest practical problems faced by students, with some now not having enough money to live on.

I reckon your emphatic recommendation of camping hook-up cables versus domestic cables is misleading, and should be reconsidered. Getting something totally free is likely to get a true MoneySaver's heart pumping faster than any cardio workout ever could. The electrical points are safety tested and fitted with an MCB, a miniature circuit breaker that will turn the supply off if it is overloaded. These cables with extra USB ports are useful as they free up the 3 pin plugs for your main appliances. A proper electric hookup lead will have the correct plug for the site outlet at one end and a box with three pin sockets protected by an RCD and circuit breakers at the other.

From being intermittent it is now a permanent refusal to charge leisure battery from hook up although 240v is going through to the 240v plug on the side of the kitchen.

It was the actual blue connectors that are 16amp rated IP44 that I was referring to and didn't mention the breaker which I should have done.
