You simply can’t go wrong with any of these tracks, although I give the top prize to the Dolby Atmos presentation of the original Cantonese-language track. As Chan and Urquidez are getting hot, the film cuts to another storyline and kills the momentum that the fight was building towards.

It might not crack any actor’s top ten as an overall movie, but I’m surprised the climax doesn’t come up more often in discussions of the greatest martial arts scenes of the era. Six Hong Kong lobby cards are in the case with the discs, and the 88-page essay booklet, disc case, and fold-out poster sit inside a hard case featuring new artwork by Sean Longmore. Fortunately, the hectic and crowded creative environment seems to have stoked healthy competition between Hung, Yuen, and Chan (who reportedly directed some scenes without credit).
