Description

The Le Creuset mug not only has a weighty feel and a comfortable handle, but it is made from highly durable stoneware. The mug is thermally insulated, keeping coffee warm for up to 90 minutes, more than enough time to get through your morning latte.

Please note that all screens vary in colour reproduction and whilst every effort has been made to show the colour as accurately as possible it is for guidance only. No matter how good looking a mug is, it's important to choose those that are functional and convenient. Like several above, the Tefal travel mug offers 360 degree drinking (much like an actual mug), and claims to be 100 per cent leak proof thanks to a push-open-and-close button. However there are five popular materials used to make travel mugs, which also includes ceramic, glass, hard plastic and bamboo. Crafted from a double layer of stainless steel, it’s vacuum sealed to keep your drink warmer or cooler for longer.Given that Britons drink almost 100 million cups of coffee per day (according to a survey by the British Coffee Association), that’s an awful lot of waste. For testing, we focused on coffee, but you can of course use whatever hot drink gets you up in the morning. Established in 1925, Le Creuset has been making world-class cookware from its foundry in Fresnoy le Grand, France for almost 100 years.

Crafted to perfection: made from specialist clays, our stoneware maintains even temperature and is exceptionally strong and durable. We like a stainless steel, leak-proof cup that’s less than 500ml so it’s small enough to be thrown in a bag, but it’s all up to personal preference. The fact you can block the drinking hole means it also won’t leak when you do stash it in your briefcase. The latter, as you can probably guess, tends to be cheaper – and there’s an argument that they’re easier to drink from, because the coffee doesn’t stay boiling hot.

Hard plastics are still used frequently for keep cups, though make sure you choose a BPA-free option. The Nespresso Touch Travel Mug looks much more like a traditional reusable coffee cup, with a stainless steel casing and plastic clip-lid. The collapsible element means it’s made of a flabby silicone, which has to be gripped very lightly to prevent squishing. However, anyone with a weaker grip will struggle because it does have to be held the entire time you’re sipping.

We all have our favourites, and are completely convinced that we can taste the difference when a tea or coffee is served in the wrong one. p>

Complete with a black coloured lid that locks securely into place to prevent any spillages as you go. Le Creuset has continued to use the hand-crafted techniques and the original process of forging and casting in the manufacturing of its cookware. One of the classic travel mug designs, one that instantly springs to mind when many think of reusable coffee cups, is the KeepCup. Available in a range of Le Creuset colours, choose your favourite and make a subtle style statement while cutting down on those disposible single use cups.

Design-wise, the coffee cup is slight, meaning it slots easily into my rucksack without taking up too much room. The superior insulation keeps the product either hot or cold longer than normal so you can enjoy your drink when and where you want it. This set of stoneware mugs makes the perfect gift for a tea or coffee lover with a passion for colour and design.I like the trigger action lid: liquid only comes out if it’s pressed, rendering it completely leak-proof.
