Green Irish Tweed is a fresh yet powerful blend for the self-assured man; a refreshing formula which elevates him at his peak. It is exactly the same aroma with a lip balm I used to wear when I was a teenager, a generic lip balm. Once I made that connection, it was hard for me to think of Baccarat Rouge as being super classy or expensive.

Baccarat Rouge is decidedly unisex in scent profile, despite the attraction it has to women (the "eyes rolled back in my head" reviews below are funny). ALCOHOL; PARFUM (FRAGRANCE); AQUA (WATER); DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL; ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE; ETHYLHEXYL SALICYLATE; BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE; BHT; LIMONENE; BENZYL BENZOATE; LINALOOL; CI 19140 (YELLOW 5); CI 14700 (RED 4). However, after an hour or two it turns into a very pleasant ambery smell that sits very close to the skin. But the few who could, smelled it in my workplace and were asking where is this amazing smell coming from. All of this is subjective, but I guess I just like this one more as a feminine fragrance but I think this can still work as a masculine fragrance too - it just doesn't work as well on my skin. The same has happened when I complimented others, or asked if they were wearing this to which they would go, “why, yes! I appreciate the artistry, when this came out there wasn't anything like it and it defies expectations.

it doesn't smell medicinal or anything like that in any way to me, but it definitely smells suave and that you're made of money. I think if you were to amplify the earthy/woodiness and maybe tone down the medicinal notes this would be a bit closer to what I would like - but it's by no means a bad fragrance and you'll probably get compliments while wearing it from people who enjoy this kind of scent profile. This fragrance speaks of individuals who exude confidence and have their lives together, those who can effortlessly afford it without a second thought. nah i dislike it, it is too strong and complex; the beginning note is very sweet, jasmine is not noticeable to me, or it is kind of artificial; the sweetness is overwhelming, even for the middle notes, it's stronger than the woodines imo; suitable for mature women (30+) with sharp character but not me; it's a kind of perfume that cause nausea for me. Known by its Latin name as jasminum grandiflorum, the jasmine used in perfumery is surprisingly potent and multi-faceted, ranging from orangey-floral, solar, fruity (banana, strawberry, apricot), to animalic and spicy. After some casual chit-chat on its beauty, I swallowed my pride and asked her how she was so familiar with it. I can concede and say that it does, indeed "smell rich", but not a delicate, comfortable "I live in the Ritz and vacation to Europe" way, rather in a scary, "generations of my family have owned mines all over the global south", "grandpa is on his seventh heart transplant surgery and grandma poisoned her servant" one. For example: Rosendo Mateu Nº 5 Floral, Amber, Sensual Musk (which he actually liked) smelt like latex and rubber gloves to some people, but not to him.

On me, it smells like the dentist's office—strawberry bubble gum tooth polish, latex gloves, cleaning supplies, the dentist asking how you're doing with their hands in your mouth while you make indistinguishable sounds. A classic, timeless men's fragrance that tells a tale, Creed's Green Irish Tweed eau de parfum evokes the lush greenery, cut grass, spring meadows and herbs native to the Emerald Isle.I think it's projection is a bit intense too, honestly I smell this on other girls sometimes and either they've put too much-but, they leave a massive Baccarat Rouge 540 cloud after they've gone and it's kind of ridiculous. And thirdly, I don't find Baccarat Rouge as sweet as adverstised, and certainly not cloyingly sweet (although I can understand some people thinking the loud, synthetic, and somewhat sweet profile is cloying.

There is a soft woodiness, particularly during the later stages, melding well with the musky amber notes. I stopped smelling the incredibly beautiful candy floss smell and started smelling the woodsy notes. Baccarat Rouge 540 Maison Francis Kurkdjian extrait de parfum embodies the profusion and fusion of elements that can only be tamed by the art of the perfumer and the wisdom gained with time.Initially quite disrupting and synthetic - especially with that scratchy, salty Evernyl blaring over it all. If you’re a guy and want to wear this, I think you’ve got to properly own it and probably be cool AF. The longevity and projection of this perfume is absolutely insane which only exacerbates my senses even more and I cannot stand to be around myself when I wear it. Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau De Parfum was born from the encounter between Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Baccarat as a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the iconic crystal house.
