Josefa is a thrill seeker, something about the danger of almost getting caught, of thieving and getting away with it.

Seeing Josefa at work as a thief was enjoyable to watch because she is so very light-fingered, she seems to be able to get away with any steal. Four daring young women must band together to pull off the heist of the century onboard the infamous Titanic. And I love that Jaigirdar showed an interracial romance between two women of color, who are too often erased from history or left out of reclaimings of a lesbian past. But while 50% of this cover is non-white, the makeup of the overall passenger list was a much, much lower number. A heart-pounding, romantic adventure from the award-winning author of Hani and Ishu's Fake Guide to Dating . The group was definitely not to any level of friendship status at that point in the novel, and I would even comfortably say they never made it past good acquaintances by the end. The characters in this supernatural odyssey are well-drawn, the plotting is brilliant and just when you think you know where the story is going, Mr. They should also be at the beginning of the ARCs themselves and the beginning of the final copies of the book.

I am giving A Million to One 4 stars and I definitely recommend this book to people who enjoy a heist, a mystery or generally enjoy some history!

First of all, this book is set around the events of the Titanic so I knew it was unlikely that everyone was going to make it and let's just say this book caused me emotional damage. I like that we’re introduced originally to just Claire and Tristan and then Devin and Espie just sort of join the party!

But what do we really know about our elected representatives and how they work, what good they do, and what really happens behind the scenes? This is of course the essence of the story and the impetus for which Adiba probably put pen to paper to begin with, unless she’s just a secret freightliner obsessed historical fanatic. Although aimed at young readers, I think this is more suited for 14 and above because there is a small amount of swearing and some challenging vocabulary.Unfortunately, if your item has been personalised, we will be unable to refund or exchange the item. Each of the girls has a special talent and, together, they possess the skills to claim this piece of history as their own. New players, several who are in danger and one who’s a monster, join the series’ original characters.

And with the Titanic sailing ever further north, the girls' chances of survival are a million to one. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. We know that of the 425 women on board, passengers and crew, roughly 316 of them survived, that’s 74%. A heart-pounding, romantic adventure from the award-winning author of Hani and Ishu's Fake Guide to Dating. He played his part in the English revolution at Glasgow Rangers and managed QPR, Crystal Palace, Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City. They couldn't be more different and yet they have one very important thing in common: their lives depend on breaking into the vault and capturing the Rubiyat. Honestly, I'm glad she didn't delve into the religious background because I am sure she would've butchered the idea of gender separation that exists in Islamic spaces (to be clear: Islam does not advise you to kick out your child if you see them with someone of the opposite gender lmaooo. Unsurprisingly Adiba does a wonderful job here, balancing four POVs deftly, carefully bending their inter-personal relationships without them ever breaking. I was first interested in this book because it mentions the Titanic, which is one of my biggest interests, and then when I saw that it featured four girls coming together to commit a heist I was sold. Okay, to say Adiba uses dramatic irony effectively would be underselling dramatic irony as these characters and all else onboard are sailing (sorry) towards unknowable, and sadly avoidable, historical relevance.
