Some may complain that it's a synthetic fragrance, for personally i been wearing this on humid nights for many years, not the summer day time just the high humid nights and for me it works, as soon as i spray the top notes combo smells like sweet guava to my nose, keep in mind this last two hours only but, but i have noticed with humidity rise it recharges again and you get a whiff of that top note again, I remember one summer night i was out on a date and this doesn't last but it was safe by the time i picked up my date the fragrance was gone, driving her back home at midnight on my sweet 4th gen Camaro i was about to light up my cigarette while rolling down the window and boom the fragrance resurrection all the citrus notes came back to life which still and i am convinced it smells like sweet guava, she turned and looked at me as if i just sprayed it and said you smell so good and stick her nose on my neck and complimented my fragrance, do i get synthetic? I can see this being worn when you've decided to stay in, took a shower, and want to just relax and heal from the workweek with a film or a cup of tea. I think that herbal is the perfect word for this perfume, herbal and fresh, i mean, that "herbal" note is along all the fragrance, and the drydown is so clean, and soapy, like a honey and citron soap.

Burberry's classic Weekend for men fragrance opens with light citrus top notes of fresh lemon, grapefruit and sweet tangerine that invigorates. not just becasue it was from a special person but its because it smells very unique and it projects very well! I just tried it on my wrists today and was in shock by its strange, metallic, synthetic and cloying smell on me. A strong synthetic, citrus accord that's followed by a strong woody, "green," pine accord that has decent longevity. This is a pleasant scent that opens with a burst of citrus then dries down to a soft fruit-honey skin scent highly reminiscent of soap/shampoo.Perhaps if Burberry had gone with a wintergreen or mint opening that was supported by the ivy one, you'd have a nicer first impression. I don't get any oakmoss at all from opening to drydown, or any wood notes, so I suspect the current blend is a major reformulation. I bough some at an airport while intransitive becaus I had forgotten to pack cologne and here wasn much o choose from. It is not very complex, has got similarities with Paco by Paco Rabanne and the herbal touch of ivy helps to stretch the citric elements all the way to the far dry down. The fragrance opens with zesty top notes of lemon, grapefruit, and tangerine, creating an immediate feeling of freshness.

It has an excellent atomiser which is just as well as I found that I have to spray quite heavily to get any longevity over 2 hours. Unlike modern day perfumery which is lot complicated and experimental this perfume keeps it simple and straight.I dont smell any honey, i get the rest of the smell in the drydown, but the citrus has ruined it from the start, and lingers veery slightly throughout, it warps the other notes. Burberry Weekend for Men opens in a nice and powerful way, because of the citrus and pineapple notes, which I like a lot in perfumes. Burberry Weekend is a perfect light crisp fresh scent thats a nice fit for casual everyday wear thats not overbearing or fades away fast.

The opening is very fresh and full of smooth, dry citruses(grapefruit, lemon and bergamot mostly); the melon and pineapple add a fruity, less citric flavor but never really develop fully (and I'm glad, it would be a bit too 'fruit salad'!

This frag holds steady ground on the light notes with citrus and tropical fruits and dries down to a sandlewood which gives it that masculine vibe. Thank goodness it is a small bottle and fairly cheap…emphasis on the ‘cheap’ because that’s how you smell when you spray this anywhere. The green notes in the middle gradually creep up and complement the fresh, mouth watering and thirst quenching opening.I got this one from my grandfather and if he hadn't given it to me, I would not have bought it myself. I was honestly surprised to find there is no lavender in this as the opening is really reminiscent of pure Lavender.
