The side effects of an over-the-counter (OTC) medication or supplement can be diverse, and may include mild, moderate, or severe reactions. AproDerm Gel is suitable from birth and can also be used as a pre-bathing emollient and before swimming to help counteract the drying and irritating effects of pool chemicals. If the product comes into contact with dressings and clothes they can be more easily ignited with a naked flame.
Have Eczema, Psoriasis and other Dry Skin Conditions and are looking to soothe, moisturise and protect their skin. AproDerm Gel is a highly moisturising gel, without the greasiness of an ointment, which actively draws and retains moisture within the skin and provides a protective barrier to help reduce dryness and irritation. Check the ingredients list and if you’re allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients, do not use. The initial exposure will not cause a reaction but continued exposure can and once a person has been sensitised to a product, contact with even a small amount of it will cause a reaction.
It is also an effective pre-bathing emollient so can be applied to skin prior to bathing to prevent it from drying out even further, whilst protecting it from the irritant effects that can be caused by washing and bathing products such as soaps, shower gels and shampoos. It also protects the skin from drying and irritant effects of washing powders, soaps, detergents and other harsh chemicals. AproDerm Gel can be used before bathing (known as pre-bathing) to protect the skin from the drying effects of bathing, as well as after bathing to skin that is almost dry to trap in moisture. Aproderm emollient gel is an excellent solution for the symptomatic relief of dry and itchy skin associated with conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.Hydrates the skin by reducing the rate of water loss as well as naturally attracting and retaining moisture. It’s usually a long-term (chronic) condition, although it can improve significantly, or even clear completely, in some children as they get older.
Providing long-lasting hydration it soothes, moisturises, and enhances the skin barrier and is especially good for overnight use and hand eczema. Please always consult your GP in the first instance and always read the packaging directions clearly. Apply AproDerm Gel regularly, liberally, and frequently to the affected area, smoothing onto the skin using gentle strokes and following the direction of hair growth. I then tested it on my cheeks and nose area to see if it was the cream that made her eczema worse (I have very sensitive skin and a lot of things make the skin there inflamed I have to use only natural Hypoallergenic products on my face) and it irritated my skin too!
