After capturing the rogue Crossroad Demon Guy, the Winchesters appeared to believe they could force him to break all of the deals he had made but were interrupted by Crowley who took care of it instead. It was also believed that some people made this type of pact just as a sign of recognising the minion as their master, in exchange for nothing. Whether God or the equivalent would be interested in a soul that someone has gambled is the Elephant in the Living Room.
