We started the story off slow and I was frustrated by a lot of things at first. But as I kept going and we were introduced to Rowan and saw how Adam adapts to being a father - I started enjoying it a bit. Adam is also such a patient man because the level of stubbornness Nova has really had me wanting to throw my phone across the room countless times as I was reading along. She's way too uptight and geared to make things run smoothly at Vision Tech that she doesn't realise when she's burnt out and when she does come to that realisation, her way to deal with that is to resign. Even though she doesn't want to. Even though she knows he doesn't want her to. Our hands brush when they don't need to. Our touches linger. Our eyes find each other in crowded rooms. started off with the MMC being an unbearable, villain-asshole, but #hefellfirst so by 40% he became extremely obsessive, doting and loving, which I liked And I hate that man with the passion of a thousand suns even if he’s the hottest guy I’ve ever seen.

I found Nova’s hesitance to let personal feelings and her personal life interact with her professional life very relatable. I liked that she was the most emotionally reserved of the MC’s I’ve read in this series. It made her more relatable to be and it made Adam breaking down her walls even more impactful. During your commute: If you take public transportation or have a long commute, you may find it helpful to use that time to read. This book is only getting two stars because quite frankly i enjoyed niko and i enjoyed dejonae and her family everyone else were just absolutely TERRIBLE Book 6 of the Billionaire Dads series brings us a story where Adam Harrison (Billionaire, Genius inventor) and Nova Delaney (ruthless, ambitious and stubborn-as-hell executive assistant) have been working together for over 7 years. They love each other but swear up and down they can't be together, especially Nova - who's convinced herself to always put sky-high walls up and draw steep boundaries whenever she's around him. Things are made worse when an 11-year-old boy shows up out of nowhere with claims that Adam is his father. I have mixed feelings on the Lyra story. I don’t entirely understand the purpose of that storyline. I get that it was partially to show Adam seeing the part of her personal life Nova was ashamed of others knowing about. I can’t help but wish it hadn’t been a lesson that those without money and poor pasts might never change. I wished it was going to show that Lyra turned her life around and that Nova didn’t have to shame people like that to maintain respect. Instead, it was just a story that gave me secondhand embarrassment because that whole ordeal had to have reflected poorly on Nova. So, the only MC with a good relationship with a sister is… DeJonae? There is so much weird drama, from an unexpected 11-year old being dropped off at the hero's house to the heroine's manic and spiteful sister to her mysteriously quitting without notice, etc. The entire wedding thing was strange to me. Alexa’s dream was to fake marry a man that never loved her? That confused me. Even if it was just a dream of a wedding, no one else could’ve played that part for her? Seemed unnecessarily confusing for all parties involved. The hero is a clueless manchild who is both controlling and dismissive. He cannot be bothered to step up and be an adult. He kidnaps the heroine to "take care of her", completely ignoring her desire to be at home. Early morning: Some people find that reading in the morning helps them start their day with a positive and productive mindset.

there was drama. So much drama. And I high-key revelled in it ngl, but I also don't really enjoy single dad stories where the ex is a villain just because I’ve enjoyed this series so far but this one (as well as Vanya & Hadyn’s story) was a little silly. the FMC was cool to start, but was also stupidly impulsive. By the end, her immaturity started to grate on me and I couldn't see how they could ever work as a couple long term There were so many waste of time and ridiculous scenes. Such as the fight in the bathroom. The villainous ex wife who they allowed to manipulate their feelings and their relationship. Throwing in that a character from an earlier book was not “doing well” but never letting us (the reader) know what was going on and why one hangout with the girls cured her. Then there is the writing style. It’s cringe worthy for me. Unusual expressions and phrasing, almost as if the book was translated into English. The female character’s pension for violence is concerning (frequent thoughts of violence) The best time to read a book depends on your personal schedule and preferences. Here are some suggestions:I liked Rowan, though I still wish he hadn’t been sent alone to find Adam. I assumed he knew what was going on with his mother so I was surprised the reveal about her illness was a surprise to him. I think the attachment Nova builds with him was more natural than the attachment between Kenya and Belle in the first book. Before bedtime: Many people find that reading before bedtime helps them unwind and relax, which can promote better sleep. Also the conflict they had to get over was stupid. There's no reason Nova had to go through all that and I think she should have grovelled more. Lastly, I do not plan to ever keep my opinions to myself. Just because I don't agree with everything that comes out of your mouth does not mean mean that my opinions are invalid. Your fear of hearing dissenting opinions is a mark of questionable character. I trust that you will reflect on yourself and what kind of employee you're being to the people who have no choice but to suffer at your company. Lastly, thank you for trusting me to do the 'smart thing', which I've decided is to stay the hell away from you. This story was way more Mills n Boon than I usually read, but I've never read AMBW romance before so I thought I'd give it a shot.
